Fr. Anselm Adodo, is a Benedictine priest, scholar and leading voice in integrative and holistic healthcare, with over 20 years of experience in naturopathy, ethnobotany, and alternative medicine. He is the founder of Pax Herbals in Nigeria, a pioneering initiative that bridges traditional African healing systems with modern scientific research to promote preventive health, mental wellness, and the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. Fr. Anselm’s research is transdisciplinary, combining insights from medical sociology, health policy, ethnobotany, and social innovation. He holds doctoral degrees in Medical Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Benin, Nigeria, and Management of Technology and Innovation from the DaVinci Institute, South Africa. An accomplished author and educator, he has published numerous books and peer-reviewed articles on holistic health, African studies, and integrative medicine. His work emphasizes community-based healthcare and social regeneration, fostering collaboration between academia, faith-based communities, and local practitioners. Through Pax Herbals and Pax Herbal USA, Fr. Anselm continues to advance a vision of healing that unites science, spirituality, and community development.
Fr. Aloysius Ezeonyeka is a former Benedictine monk of Ewu Monastery, Nigeria, where he was an ardent supporter of Pax Herbal Medicine, an initiative founded by his brother monk, Fr. Anselm Adodo, and now recognized globally. For over three decades, Pax Herbal has harnessed one of Africa’s greatest treasures—the healing power of indigenous natural medicine. Fr. Aloysius is currently a priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and serves as pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ventura, California. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he is a teacher and certified counselor, deeply committed to the holistic care of body, mind, and spirit. He collaborated with Fr. Anselm to establish Pax Herbal USA and continues to serve as a board member, promoting the mission of integrating faith, wellness, and natural healing. A firm believer in the harmony of spiritual and physical health, he lives the words of St. Irenaeus: “The glory of God is man fully alive.”
